The Davidoff Cigar Dojo Exclusive 2018 had a nice start, although the intense black pepper was a bit surprising. After the first third, the profile became average and a typical Davidoff White Label experience. I didn't find much unique about this iteration, but there wasn't anything bad about it. If you're a fan of Davidoff White Labels, you're sure to find something you'll like here.

Cigar Dojo's penchant for Asian culture and Caldwell's progressive character have been mashed, blended, and fused, materializing in the form of a 7" x 40 lancero known as Far Eastern Standard. The cigar’s wrapper is a specially fermented Mexican San Andrés leaf, showing a lighter-than-average Colorado Rosado shade. For the interior, a Sumatra binder has been secured over 100% Cuban-seed fillers, including Criollo ’98, Corojo '99, and HVA leaves. The cigars were then rolled in a 5½” x 52 belicoso vitola and left to age for a minimum of six months.

This is most quickly evident with the cigar's square format. In fact, the box-press mold was custom designed by members of the Cigar Dojo team, offering the most box-pressed vitola from a Cigar Dojo collaborative project to date.
