Aroma
The aroma reminds me of the Mexican Peanut Butter Stout but without the cinnamon. Prominent freshly shelled and creamed peanuts. Some cotton candy, but no metallic notes that I picked up on other Peanut Butter versions.
Flavor
Initial flavors reveal a chocolate and peanut explosion on my palate. I don’t recall other versions of the Peanut Butter series having this level of intensity on the chocolate flavors. As my palate acclimates to the chocolate, the peanut butter starts to come through as a more defined flavor. I also start to get an undercurrent of sweetness that seems to bind the overall profile together.
Balance
The balance is great with the chocolate and peanut butter flavors matching each other in strength, and remaining consistent as the beer warms up.
Finish
Each sip reveals more peanut flavors on the finish and greater chocolate on the forefront of the palate. The peanut butter flavors have a medium length finish with some slight cloying sweetness at the end.

Overall
Like the Mexican Peanut Butter Stout, the peanut butter flavor is not an adjunct that is an afterthought like so many flavor themed beers. Although this Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout might lack some of the depths and nuance of their other styles, the overall experience is fantastic.
