Team Cigar Review: La Palina Nicaragua Connecticut Toro

Team Cigar Review: La Palina Nicaragua Connecticut Toro

The La Palina Nicaragua Connecticut Toro delivered some enjoyable and engaging flavor combinations through the first and second third, with the final third having discordant combinations that didn't work for me. I would smoke this again, the price is reasonable for the market and the smoking time was on point for a Toro at 2 hours and 13 minutes.

Team Cigar Review: La Palina KB Series Part Three

Team Cigar Review: La Palina KB Series Part Three

You just wish there was a little more there at the beginning and the end for the La Palina KB Series Part Three to reach a higher level. I like the increase of strength and body from the first to second third, I thought the flavors were really jamming with that transition as well, but La Palina got too greedy and the final third was too much. The strength and body became too much and knocked the flavors out of the equation.

Team Cigar Review: La Palina 125 Años

Team Cigar Review: La Palina 125 Años

I haven't liked a La Palina release this much in quite some time. This La Palina 125 Años almost seemed like a return to what I loved about the glory days of the brand; well balanced, super flavorful and good construction. The only issue is, it held up the goodness for half the cigar. It is at least a step in the right direction.

Team Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Laguito No. 6

Team Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Laguito No. 6

After reviewing the La Palina Goldie Laguito No. 6, I found myself doing a comparison with the original and phenomenal releases of Laguito No. 2, No. 5, and the Especial. For me, the experience falls quite a bit short. That isn't to say it was a bad cigar, it certainly isn't, but a slightly above average experience isn't going to be enough to motivate a second purchase on a $23 cigar.

Team Cigar Review: La Palina Bronze Label Robusto

Team Cigar Review: La Palina Bronze Label Robusto

In the instance of the La Palina Bronze Label Robusto, I was surprised especially by the minerals. In general, the flavors of minerals, dry red peppers, natural sweet creaminess off dried nuts was range I didn't expect and worked well. The only let down was the subpar burn in which I hope it is a one off situation. I'll gladly smoke it again even if I have to fight the burn.

Personal Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Cañonazo

Personal Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Cañonazo

The La Palina Goldie Cañonazo is a terrific size and it delivers enjoyable flavors throughout. It has depth and complexity and there is transitioning present as well. If you have loved recent Goldie releases, this will be another one to your liking.

Personal Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Toro

Personal Cigar Review: La Palina Goldie Toro

This was a solid Goldie and I think it will do well with consumers, mostly because of the size, but it is not my favorite of the Goldies. With time, the flavors will develop in the second and final third, knock on wood, and that will help the cigar in terms of flavors. With that being said, the draw and construction were great and a majority of cigar smokers will truly enjoy.
