This Crowned Heads Míl Dias Maduro Sublime was a fun Broadleaf offering. Nice rustic Broadleaf flavors. Not too much to scare some less seasoned smokers away, but still present enough to capture a heavier smoker. Size went well with the maduro blend. Nice offering and will be interested if we get another maduro/Broadleaf release in the future.
I enjoyed the Crowned Heads Mil Días Marranitos E648 LE2023 and I felt every aspect of this cigar made it box worthy. It is a fun smoke with an enjoyable flavor profile that fits in well with the summer and fall. It would even be a nice winter smoke depending on the circumstances. I would be interested in seeing how it ages, but I imagine it will mellow out some and the flavors will blend together even more.
The Crowned Heads Mil Días Escogidos Edición Limitada 2021 tasted almost like a great finesse style of cigar. Based on the first third, it felt like a cigar made with attention to details in nuance and complexities. But for most of the smoking experience, the harsh bite in metallic notes basically killed it. I am curious to revisit this cigar in a few months to see if the harshness subsides, in which if it does, it'll be a hell of a cigar.
The Crowned Heads Mil Días Corona Gorda was not like any other Crowned Heads I've smoked in the past. It brought a unique combination of graham cracker and herbal notes, all well balanced under the medium strength mark. This isn't a cigar I would reach for all the time, but given the interesting and unique combination of flavors, I would smoke this when I was looking for a change of pace.
Crowned Heads is proud to announce the first limited edition release under the highly sought after Mil Días brand, i.e., Mil Días Mareva EL XX (2020). The cigar utilizes the original Mil Días blend, and is being crafted in the traditional Cuban Mareva vitola (5 1/8" x 42). Production will be limited to a total of 1,000 {30-count) cabinet style boxes.
Mil Días translates to ‘one-thousand days,’ and is a reference to the three-year window of time it required to bring the project from intention to fruition, and ultimately, to completion. The project began in the Summer of 2017 when Don Eradio Pichardo and Luciano Meirelles presented blend samples to Jon Huber of Crowned Heads at the IPCPR Trade Show.
