I felt this was a more modern Cameroon release from La Aurora and the Dominican Republic. Yes, it is using an Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper and not an authentic African Cameroon, but the cigar has more strength, body and darker flavors than a lot of past Cameroon releases from the company. The almond, cream, currant and Chinese spice notes were great together.
The La Aurora TAA Exclusivo represents the type of quality that all TAA cigars should deliver. A complex assortment of flavors, with each third delivering a consistently good experience, with construction to match. I would happily smoke more of these at the earliest opportunity.

I was very pleased with the La Aurora 115th Anniversary Regular Production Robusto. It may not show a lot of transitioning between each third, but the flavor profile delivered and balance was very enjoyable. There is some depth and complexity to the cigar and the combination of cinnamon and lemon was fantastic. A solid cigar that I will enjoy in the future.
The La Aurora 1985 Maduro Robusto was a great cigar that delivered on so many levels. There is a lot to be impressed with in this cigar, and another great quality is how well it shows that La Aurora knows how to work with so many different types of tobacco in so many blends.
La Aurora Preferidos Hors d'Age will be available in 500 15-count boxes for the US market, and only in 6x54 toro. The blend of Ecuadorian wrapper and binder, with Cibao Valley, Colombian, and Nicaraguan fillers will retail at a suggest retail price of $22 per cigar.

The La Aurora Preferidos 1903 Edition Diamond No. 2 Tubos has an enjoyable combination of spices, cedar, sweet malts, chocolate, pepper, barbecue and earth. The construction is flawless, and the overall cigar experience is a good one. The first and second thirds were the highlight of the cigar, with the flavor complexity falling in the last third.
Once in a while I come across a cigar in which I can't help but draw too frequently because I enjoy the flavors so immensely. When it comes to Dominican tobacco, if you're not looking towards a pricey Davidoff, this La Aurora 100 Años Belicoso is the one to go to.
