Havana, Cuba, 2018- The Habano’s Festival is slated to begin on February 26th but we had a quick peek at some of the new cigars and accessories making their way to the event after a brief meeting with Nelson Alfonso. Nelson Alfonso is the creator of Atabey, Byron and Bandolero cigars and spearheads not only the packaging design work for his brands but several others worldwide. Although it may be the cigars that will take center stage it will be Nelson Alfonso’s unique Montecristo ashtray design that will turn more than a few heads.
The trianglar design will match the standard logo shape but the depth of the ashtray is designed to resemble the hat worn by the character in the Count of Monecristo, Edmond Dantes. The three points of the triangle drop down to create the feet of the ashtray, lifting the base above the table it is on, creating a magical effect that the ashtray is levitating.
The Count of Montecristo Ashtray easily holds 3 large ring gauge cigars and is designed by Nelson Alfonso. Prices and availability to this limited edition ashtrays will be announced at the 2018 Habano’s Festival. According to Nelson, this is one ashtray that will not make its way to the US market as other proprietary designs have in the past.
You can see other designs of Nelson Alfonso at your favorite cigar retailers which include Atabey, Byron and Bandolero as well has the Padron 50th Anniversary Humidor. For more information Contact Oliver Nivaud at United Cigar 603-404-0016 or email@example.com.
