Cigar News: Crowned Heads Announces Paniolo Especiale 2018

On February 23, 2018, R. Field Wine Co. will once again host an event with Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber, at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, to showcase the debut of the Paniolo Especiale 2018.

The Paniolo Especiale 2018 will be produced by My Father Cigars S.A., in Esteli, Nicaragua. The vitola (5 1/2 x 48) was inspired by the Bolivar Super Coronas EL 2014 (Cuba) and features Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, finished by a San Andres (Mexico) wrapper. Production is limited to 500 (12-count) boxes, with a suggested retail price of $8.90 per cigar.

“For the 2018 Paniolo, we wanted to get back a little closer to the roots of the 2015 OR,” said Jon Huber. “I’d been a fan of the Super Corona vitola, and rather than simply re release the 2015 Broadleaf blend in that size, we opted to riff on that original blend and utilize a San Andres wrapper which gave the flavor profile it’s own unique identity.”

The Paniolo Especiale originally debuted in 2015, and is an annual Crowned Heads release, created exclusively for Hawaii, and distributed exclusively by R. Field Wine Co. For event ticket and ordering information, please contact Marvin Chang at:
