Cigar News: Cavalier Genève Bringing U.S. Distribution In-House and Update on Absence From IPCPR 2018

Geneva, Switzerland – Cavalier Genève is taking US Distribution in-house under a newly formed entity, Cavalier Premium Cigars USA LLC. The company will be based in Dallas, Texas. Brand owner Sébastien Decoppet will be personally overseeing the US operations. Cigar Art Brands’ Marco Cavazos will stay with the company as Director of Operations during the transition. This decision comes after a period of global backorder.

“This will be a positive move for Cavalier Genève,” said Marco Cavazos, “the most notable change will be the ability to stock significant inventory in the US warehouse. This should alleviate the US backorder issues.”

Due to the restructuring, Cavalier Genève will not be attending this year’s IPCPR. Plans are already in the works to attend the 2019 show. Additionally, Cavalier will be offering specials to existing accounts once the transition is complete.

“I am looking forward to spending more time with our US accounts and consumers,” said brand owner Sébastien Decoppet, “this is a really exciting time for my company.”

Cavalier Genève was previously distributed by Dallas based Cigar Art Brands. The two companies will continue a positive working relationship. Distribution of Cigar Art Brands’ La Bella Otero and Singer & Monk lines will be moved under the Cavalier Premium Cigars USA LLC portfolio.
