Overall flavor experience with the Cavalier Genève Project Broadleaf Wayfinders Toro was just ok. My favorite part was the second third where the flavor profile was less sharp and introduced more of the Connecticut broadleaf type notes (cocoa, cream). But it wasn't enough as most of the cigar was either a tad too sharp or dropped off in flavors. I'd pass on this one.
What the heck happened between the first third and the latter two thirds? It felt like smoking entirely different flavor profiles. If the Cavalier Genève Project Broadleaf Boartamer tasted more in line with the first third, this would have been a winner without a doubt. What a shame.
This Cavalier Genève Project Broadleaf Skywalker is a great introduction to the broadleaf project. Although not the conventional style of broadleaf, the flavor profile presented works well, having a heavier hand towards spice and hay/grass with a good backbone of sweet creaminess. I look forward to the broadleaf aging more and especially hope to see more body, increased sweet creaminess, as well as maintaining the spice and hay/grassiness. But the blend and age as is, is definitely a keeper.
The Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2024 had an average flavor profile throughout. The aged, musty and toasted cedar was nice, but the supporting notes didn't do enough to elevate the profile and as the earth increased, it lessened the enjoyment of the cedar. I like how this blend changes each year, but I just don't see this as one I'd come back to.
Cavalier Genève Cigars announced earlier today that its Limited Edition 2024 will be released in August. The LE2024 has been produced in one size only, a 5.5x58 Double Figurado.
The Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2022 had a nice start, but dropped a level in the second third as the earth became a bigger player and maintained that level the rest of the way. This was an OK showing for a limited edition, but not something I'd see myself coming back to all that often.
The LE2023 has been produced in one size only, a 6x54 Toro. For reference, the yearly Cavalier Genève Limited Edition always comes in a single size, which has been known to change over the years.

The Cavalier Genève Inner Circle Toro is both very approachable and a nuanced connoisseur's blend. New cigar smokers will enjoy the easy going nature of the cigar, while seasoned cigar smokers will find subtleties and balance. Given how all Cavalier Genève offerings are so approachable, this one takes it to the next level. Nicely done.
