Team Cigar Review: Villiger Villiger de Nicaragua Edición Limitada 2022

This Villiger Villiger de Nicaragua Edición Limitada 2022 was a solid blend from beginning to end. Love the diversity of tobacco in the cigar. Rich profile that is one of the few examples of dark Ecuadorian Sumatra flavor working well. Some transitioning, but it made up for it with the depth and complexity. Nice strength and body level as well. If the factory keeps producing cigars like this, I see good things for Villiger.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1

The Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1 is a strong addition to the Villiger lineup with balanced and restrained flavors through the first and second thirds. The last third was still pleasant but didn't harmonize as well as the rest of the cigar. With a just over light-plus strength flavor delivery, this was an enjoyable cigar that breaks up a market full of medium or stronger cigars, and I would happily seek it out to smoke again.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA 2022

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA 2022

More of these TAA releases please. "These" in the sense of a good blended cigar using good tobacco. Not in the sense of collaborating with other brands per se. This Villiger TAA 2022 is all about the expected goodness of a Hector Alfonso blended cigar. Punchy, yet flavorful and balanced. Well done.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger La Libertad Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Villiger La Libertad Robusto

The Villiger La Libertad Robusto was pleasant and dessert like through the first third. It became a darker, earth forward profile in the second third, eventually losing the balance that was delivered in the first third. The last third was more similar to the second third, as earth was the primary flavor element.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA 2021 Exclusive

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA 2021 Exclusive

Overall, the flavor profile of the Villiger TAA 2021 Exclusive was fairly average. The cigar never really brought an interesting flavor profile, just one that is easily found in many cigars. Not something I really see myself coming back to.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA Exclusive 2020

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA Exclusive 2020

The Villiger TAA Exclusive 2020 had some promising flavors in the first third, but ultimately did not provide the level of complexity and nuance that we've had from past Villiger releases. Great construction with a resistant draw, I was left with an overall average experience.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Do Brasil Maduro Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Do Brasil Maduro Robusto

The Villiger Do Brasil Maduro Robusto showcases some of the best qualities of Brazilian tobacco. Flavors ranged from sweetness, cedar, creaminess, plum, fig, leather and earth. The strength of the cigar seemed to settle around the medium mark. I would light up another Do Brasil Maduro again, as I enjoyed the smoking experience.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Do Brasil Claro Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Do Brasil Claro Robusto

The experience of the Villiger Do Brasil Claro Robusto went like this. First two thirds, wow, I am impressed by what Brazilian Connecticut shade can do. The final third, more average. This is a cigar that is packed with full flavors without much strength. I can see myself enjoying a couple as my starter cigar for the day.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Cuellar Black Forest Toro Gordo

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Cuellar Black Forest Toro Gordo

The Villiger Cuellar Black Forest Toro Gordo is a fantastic cigar and one of the best I have smoked from Villiger in a while. They really got a great blend out of Tabacalera Palma and what a nice Mexican San Andres offering. This is definitely a maduro I will come back to down the road and one I would highly recommend.
