Jochy Blanco

Personal Cigar Review: La Galera Imperial Jade Churchill

Personal Cigar Review: La Galera Imperial Jade Churchill

The La Galera Imperial Jade Churchill had an interesting trajectory as the first third saw all of the flavor components arrive at different times, the second third showed them off working together and then the final third saw a build up of toast and bitterness. Overall, I don't see this as something I'd come back to, but I might be interested in checking out a different vitola as the line has an attractive price point.

Team Cigar Review: La Galera 85th Anniversary Jose “Jochy” Blanco

This La Galera 85th Anniversary Jose “Jochy” Blanco was a well blended cigar showing quite possibly the best balanced profile so far this year. A great array of soft/white notes centered around nuts, toast, sweet pastry creaminess, with nuanced cedar and red/black pepper spice. Not crazy about the price point, but it is what it is. I'll for sure put these through my rotation.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger TAA 2021 Exclusive

Overall, the flavor profile of the Villiger TAA 2021 Exclusive was fairly average. The cigar never really brought an interesting flavor profile, just one that is easily found in many cigars. Not something I really see myself coming back to.

Team Cigar Review: Cigabon

Team Cigar Review: Cigabon

When you call a cigar Cigabon and image cinnamon buns, you're making some very suggestive, high claims. Based on the first third, I can actually see it though. I can see how the sweetened bread and black pepper can resemble cinnamon rolls. But given that the following two thirds didn't match this experience, the naming convention in my opinion fails. Fun to smoke nonetheless.

Personal Cigar Review: La Instructora Perfection Invicto

Personal Cigar Review: La Instructora Perfection Invicto

The La Instructora Perfection Invicto is a fun size that gives the smoker the experience to enjoy all the tobaccos in the blend and see the impact that they have on the cigar with a different ring gauge. If you want to know what quality Dominican Criollo '98 and Dominican Piloto Cubano taste like, this is a cigar that will give you just that.
