The other Sobremesa sizes shows much more balance and refinement, something the Elegante en Cedros lacks. Try this size if you are a fan of fuller strength cigars and have 2.5 to 3 hours to relax.
There were nice transitions through the thirds beginning with a robust earthy oak to a sweeter cedar and allspice and finally a richer char with some dark roast coffee highlights.
I find the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Short Churchill to be a more robust cigar in comparison to the other Sobremesa vitolas. More robust in the sense of increased spice and strength levels. The hype surrounding this one is warranted.
For fans of Broadleaf and a darker profile, I think this is a must try. It has some strength to it, so those adverse to nicotine may want to be prepared.
This was a great opener for Saka. A cigar with near flawless construction, full, distinctive, and nuanced flavors. Well worth at least picking up a fiver and if your budget allows, go for the box.
