The cigar’s wrapper is a specially fermented Mexican San Andrés leaf, showing a lighter-than-average Colorado Rosado shade. For the interior, a Sumatra binder has been secured over 100% Cuban-seed fillers, including Criollo ’98, Corojo '99, and HVA leaves. The cigars were then rolled in a 5½” x 52 belicoso vitola and left to age for a minimum of six months.

The first portion reminded me of the original Diesel's and after that became an average profile found in any number of cigars. I would have liked to see the first portion keep its core and transition from there to see what it could have become. As it is, I'd like to smoke another to see if this is what the cigar was meant to be or if there is something I missed.

Not entirely sure what Hit & Run means but the cigar's profile sure doesn't feel like a hit and run. Instead, it shows balance with increasing intensities in various spices and earthiness. I love cigars (like this) where I can enjoy full retrohales without scorching my nostrils.

According to a story published by Cigar Aficionado today, Matt Booth has announced his return to the cigar industry. Earlier this year, Booth announced he was leaving Davidoff along with his Room101 brand that he still owns and the cigar world was abuzz with that news and wondering what this meant for the brand.
