Aroma
The aromas are toasted espresso, and a sweetness reminiscent of milk lactose.
Flavor
The Fade to Black has a satisfying thick mouthfeel, and notes of espresso, chocolate and licorice. The flavors are big and intense. After some time, there is some hoppy bitterness establishing itself, lingering between sips. Some dark chocolate also begins to blend into the hoppy bitterness.
Balance
There is a decent balance between the sweetness, espresso and the hoppy bitterness. The licorice notes aren’t as intense as the other flavors and is pushed to the background at times.
Finish
The Fade to Black has a medium to long finish of fresh espresso. The hoppy bitterness starts to linger along with some chocolate after each sip.

Left Hand Brewing makes a few pretty tasty brews. I’ll give anything they make a try for sure.
