Team Cigar Review: Sencillo Black Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Sencillo Black Lancero

Overall, the Sencillo Black Lancero was a good cigar. Bolder and rustic delivery of mala dried red pepper spice, earthy dirt grit, and softened nicely by naturally sweet and creamy mixed nuts. This isn't the type of flavor profile that I necessarily enjoy, but the delivery of the bolder flavors mixed with softer flavors was well done. And a great burning and drawing lancero to boot.

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1

Team Cigar Review: Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1

The Villiger Miami 2022 Laguito No. 1 is a strong addition to the Villiger lineup with balanced and restrained flavors through the first and second thirds. The last third was still pleasant but didn't harmonize as well as the rest of the cigar. With a just over light-plus strength flavor delivery, this was an enjoyable cigar that breaks up a market full of medium or stronger cigars, and I would happily seek it out to smoke again.

Personal Cigar Review: Illusione hl Candela

Personal Cigar Review: Illusione hl Candela

The Illusione hl Candela started well, with a nice combination of flavors. The second third dropped a level as the flavor profile wasn't as dynamic as it was in the first third and maintained that level the rest of the way. This is probably one of the best candela offerings on the market, but with that said, it isn't a cigar I would come back to all that frequently.

Personal Cigar Review: El Septimo Sacred Arts Collection Da Vinci

Personal Cigar Review: El Septimo Sacred Arts Collection Da Vinci

The El Septimo Sacred Arts Collection Da Vinci was enjoyable for the first inch and a half or so, and then after that, it became a bit monotonous. It was very toasted cedar and dry earth focused with none of the other components really adding anything to elevate it. All of the cigars in the series are quite pricey, so I wouldn't see myself coming back to this one, but would be up for trying some of the the offerings.

Team Cigar Review: Muga SP1014 Love n’ Passion 740

Team Cigar Review: SP1014 Love n’ Passion 740

I enjoyed the SP1014 Love n’ Passion 740. I thought this was a really nice Dominican blend that showed strength, body and flavors that you typically don't get in all Dominican blends. I don't think it will be everyone's cup of tea, but those who get behind it will really enjoy it. It is a cigar for a serious cigar smoker in my opinion. A lancero crafted for seasoned smokers who truly appreciate Lanceros. I appreciate that.

Team Cigar Review: Curivari Selección Privada Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Curivari Selección Privada Lancero

This was an enjoyable cigar, and while not overly complex, it did have a bit of transitioning throughout. In some ways, the simplest aspects of the Curivari Selección Privada Lancero made it so enjoyable. With the cigar being just a little bit larger than your standard lancero, it seemed less fragile and more of a lancero you could smoke throughout the day while handling other items.

Team Cigar Review: Adventura The Royal Return Queen’s Pearls Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Adventura The Royal Return Queen’s Pearls Lancero

I went into my first Adventura The Royal Return Queen’s Pearls Lancero with high expectations. This is a very good cigar and a great lancero. Each third was great and there was transitioning from first to final third. The cigar started strong and finished strong. With a nice body and strength level, I could smoke this lancero all the time. Of course, it is limited.

Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Elegante

Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Elegante

It is incredible what a different vitola can do for a cigar. Well, it is incredible what a ring gauge can do for a cigar. This is a blend that excels with a smaller ring gauge and stronger wrapper presence. The JRE Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Elegante was balanced throughout, but it had depth and complexity. Great burn and draw as well.

Personal Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA

Personal Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA

The price point on the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA is quite high, and would likely keep me from returning to this all that often. This version of the MdS is about on par with the others I have smoked. Lancero fans should give this a shot to see what they think.

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero

The Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero is a solid lancero and my experience when I was done was that this was not as strong as the original Fausto, but more complex overall as a blend. The flavors were superior. There was balance and substance with this cigar. Really well made cigar.
