The Southern Draw Jacobs Ladder Lancero was a pleasurable smoking experience. The chalky cocoa and milk chocolate finish giving just the right accented spice was the key takeaway for me. Would absolutely smoke this again.
While this is not a true lancero, and it is classified as a lancero, it was an enjoyable super corona. The flavors were fairly consistent from start to finish, but it was a nice flavor profile that had depth. The Jeremy Jack JJ14 Lancero was rich and spicy with the wonderful qualities of AGANORSA tobacco.
The Cubariqueño Protocol Themis Lancero is a great example of a traditional Lancero that delivers on flavor complexity, despite the restrictions of less filler tobacco. The overall profile is medium-full with the cigar hitting medium strength at points. This cigar will be yet another hit for Cubariqueño Cigar Company.
The Atabey Spiritus is a complex and rich Lancero smoking experience. The cigar has bold flavors that don't overwhelm the palate, for a truly luxurious profile. If you are an Atabey fan, or are simply looking for a premiere smoking experience, you would do well to pick yourself up a Spiritus.
The Black Works Studio S&R Lancero is a nice offering in the brands portfolio and the strength, while above medium, isn't overpowering and is balanced with the flavor profile. I would have no problem smoking more of these and think fans of the brand and those that like lanceros are bound to find a favorite here.
The Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Lancero is a good cigar to try if you want more spice and earth forward delivery of a Connecticut cigar, but if you are looking for more of the traditional sweetness and cream, I'd recommend the Toro.
The Jacobs Ladder Lancero makes its debut in an exclusive box pressed format known as the TOP RUNG at Casa de Montecristo which coincides with the Texas Cigar Festival. The box pressed lancero in this award winning premium cigar blend is a limited exclusive release and will be available in a number of Casa de Montecristo retail locations.
Lancero cigars are trending again. That's good news for Southern Draw Cigars, as we announce the addition of a Lancero to our Rose of Sharon cigars selection. The 6½-inch by 40-ring vitola has a soft box-pressed profile and is now available in boxes of 20 cigars and 5-packs.
Construction was fantastic and if you are already a Southern Draw or AJ Fernandez fan, it's definitely something you should try. Lancero fans won't be disappointed either as it has great performance. Not a bad cigar to introduce someone to the brand.
