Personal Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA

Personal Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA

The price point on the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Muestra De Saka #NLMTHA is quite high, and would likely keep me from returning to this all that often. This version of the MdS is about on par with the others I have smoked. Lancero fans should give this a shot to see what they think.

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero

The Tatuaje Fausto The Old Man and the C Lancero is a solid lancero and my experience when I was done was that this was not as strong as the original Fausto, but more complex overall as a blend. The flavors were superior. There was balance and substance with this cigar. Really well made cigar.

Team Cigar Review: Drew Estate BOTL Brown Label 2020 Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Drew Estate BOTL Brown Label 2020 Lancero

The Drew Estate BOTL Brown Label 2020 Lancero delivered some consistently good flavors through the first and second third, missing out only slightly in the last third with some imbalance. I smoked two for review, and I would happily return to another, as I think Drew Estate has done well with the BOTL series over the years.

Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Cameroon Elegante

Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Cameroon Elegante

The JRE Aladino Cameroon Elegante was a good cigar throughout, with perfect burn and construction. The natural comparison will be with the Lonsdale release last year, and while the Elegante was enjoyable, it did lack the layers of complexity that the Lonsdale release delivered.

Team Cigar Review: Warped Flor del Valle Sky Flower Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Warped Flor del Valle Sky Flower Lancero

Overall, I found the Warped Flor del Valle Sky Flower Lancero to be a good experience, although a noticeable step down from the original Sky Flower release. I would smoke these again, however the price point would probably make me choose the original release or another Warped offering to get a flavor experience that matched.

Team Cigar Review: Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown Magic

Team Cigar Review: Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown Magic

The Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown Magic is another consistent and enjoyable cigar. Although there weren't significant flavor changes through each third, the flavors that were presented were balanced and engaging to the palate. I would smoke these again, as this is another Caldwell release that gets moved into my smoking rotation.

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Company Super Deluxe Lancero

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Company Super Deluxe Lancero

The Black Label Trading Company Super Deluxe Lancero was an enjoyable medley of cocoa, baking spices, graham cracker, creaminess, wood and leather that kept me engaged for the entire smoking experience. The pepper and toasted quality might catch some off guard, but the intensity didn't stick around for very long. I would reach for another Super Deluxe Lancero.

Team Cigar Review: Falto La Pureza

Team Cigar Review: Falto La Pureza

The Falto La Pureza is a lovely cigar and a great vitola. There is balance with the blend and complexity and transitioning. Very approachable, the flavor profile is perfect for morning, afternoon or evening. They smoke well now, but I believe they will age great. A lovely blend that was enjoyable from start to finish.

Team Cigar Review: Rojas KSG

Team Cigar Review: Rojas KSG

The Rojas KSG was a great flavorful cigar from beginning to end. The gradual increase in red pepper spice with accented semi-sweet chocolate, creamy bread and cedar made for a smoking experience that kept me engaged the entire time. This KSG has me hyped to try other Rojas offerings.

Team Cigar Review: Punch Chop Suey

Team Cigar Review: Punch Chop Suey

For the outstanding price point of sub $6, the Punch Chop Suey delivers a punch of flavors. Nice flavors of King's Hawaiian sweet bread, vanilla, minerals, cedar, black pepper in which some cigars that are 2 to 2.5x the price point can't match up to. It's only Q1 but I may have already found the value cigar of the year.
