Diamond Crown Tampa

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Tampa

The Diamond Crown Tampa had a nice start, with a good combination of flavors. The profile took a step down in the second third as the earth and toast levels were increasing and remained that way for the rest of the cigar. Overall, a fairly average experience. Add in the very high price point and it's not a cigar I'd see myself coming back to.

Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto No. 5

Personal Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto No. 5

The Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto No. 5 had a nice start with a good combination of flavors. As the earth and pepper fell back in the second third it took a step down and remained at that level the rest of the way. I didn't find this vitola quite as engaging as the Toro, but it still maintained portions of that experience. I wouldn't necessarily come back to this size, but the line does offer some good vitolas.

Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Troublemaker

Personal Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Troublemaker

The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Troublemaker had an average flavor profile throughout. The cigar had a very young/green oak note at it's thickest ring gauge, but exhibited less of that when it was thinner. This isn't the best expression of the line for me and I wouldn't see myself coming back to it.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Black Diamond Emerald

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Black Diamond Emerald

The Diamond Crown Black Diamond Emerald delivered a dark earth and espresso profile for most of the review, which was interesting and engaging. The last third became more earth forward and not as balanced as the previous two thirds. I would smoke the Diamond Crown Black Diamond Emerald again if I was in the mood for a darker earth forward flavor profile.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Et tu, Brute?

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Et tu, Brute?

The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Et tu, Brute? had some highlights in the first third with interesting complexity, but lost most of those notes by the second third, leaving me with a fairly average experience for two thirds of the cigar. I would smoke another Et Tu Brute? again if I had the opportunity, if only to see whether the flavor performance could live up to what the first third offered.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Maduro Robusto No. 4

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Maduro Robusto No. 4

The Diamond Crown Maduro Robusto No. 4 didn't deliver an engaging or dynamic flavor profile that I would expect from a cigar with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Although the flavors were pleasant, they never combined in a way that would make this cigar stand out from other Maduros. At this price point, it might be difficult to compete with the vast amount of other Connecticut Broadleaf cigars in the market competing in this space.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Maximus Toro No. 4

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Maximus Toro No. 4

The Diamond Crown Maximus Toro No. 4 has a very elegant and silky smoking experience that was enjoyable. This is a long standing blend that has stood the test of time. While the price is a bit high, it's a good experience that I would recommend in the evening after a nice meal. Definitely a cigar to look forward to and one that delivers consistently.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Robusto No. 4

For the fans of traditional Connecticut shade cigars, they'll find something they are familiar with and can enjoy in the Diamond Crown Robusto No. 4. The price point is a bit high for the offering and many cigars that smoke similar to this can be found for less. I'd have no problem smoking this again, but based on price, it wouldn't be my first choice for this style of cigar.

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Black Diamond Marquis

Team Cigar Review: Diamond Crown Black Diamond Marquis

The dark chocolate, Asian spice and cherry notes play off of each other perfectly and the presence of those flavors throughout, and their change in dominance make for a terrific experience. I would highly recommend, and the Diamond Crown Black Diamond Marquis is a cigar I will come back to time and time again.
