Villiger Cigars announces that the highly rated Villiger La Libertad will display an elegantly designed new cigar band, that prominently features the Villiger handmade premium cigar logo. The Villiger La Libertad originally featured a band with only the name “La Libertad” displayed.
I enjoyed the interplay of cocoa to milk chocolate, minerals, cedar and toasted nuts of the Villiger La Meridiana Toro Box Press. Having smoked two samples for review, one sample had a considerable ripe plum note whereas the other had none of it. Regardless, both samples were good and worthy to be checked out.
With much excitement, Villiger Cigars will introduce a European favorite, the Villiger La Meridiana to the U.S. consumer. The Villiger Meridiana was released in 1998 and has gained a loyal following, among full-flavored cigar enthusiasts in Europe. The Villiger Meridiana was conceived by Heinrich Villiger, as a way to pay tribute to some long lost Cuban cigar heritage.
The Villiger San'Doro Maduro Toro isn't at the level of the more recent releases from the brand and I would classify it as a fairly average flavor profile. If you enjoy the flavors it presents, it would be worthwhile to try it and see if it's something you'd like to add to your rotation, but for me, I would gravitate to more recent offerings.

The Villiger La Vencedora Robusto is another good cigar from the newly renovated/refreshed Villiger. Flavors of bittersweet chocolate, baking spices, baking soda, espresso beans and creaminess of mixed nuts not only was good, but captured my attention the entire smoking time.
Villiger Cigars continues global growth, with the opening of its new factory in Brazil, Villiger Do Brasil (which translates from Portuguese to “Villiger of Brazil”). Heinrich Villiger was present at the opening of the new factory, marking the next evolution of a long relationship between Villiger Cigars and Brazilian tobacco, dating back to Villiger Cigars’ beginnings in 1888.
The Villiger La Vencedora Toro showed a good melding of flavors focused on chocolate, espresso, bread and minerals. Being a longer smoke, the cigar did not lose my interest, doing a good job of building on it's core flavors. This is well worth putting on your new cigars to buy list.
