There isn't any wow factor here, but the cigar does provide an average flavor profile through the first two thirds with a drop in the final third. Based on other cigars I've reviewed here, this score should fall in line with a fair number of cigars that are priced at twice or three times what this is. With that being said, you can have those same experiences at a discount.

Team Cigar Review: Ventura Case Study 05 Toro

The more I smoke the Case Studies, the more I believe Ventura's marketing statement of selecting good cigars from various factories. The Ventura Case Study 05 was just plain and simply a good cigar showcasing sweetness, chocolate, earth and tapered spice. I would happily smoke more of these.

Team Cigar Review: Ventura Archetype Initiation Toro

The cigar started with a very smooth profile and as it went along, lost the cream which left a primarily oak and baking spice note. Smooth is a great descriptor for this cigar. Maybe the best Archetype I've had thus far.

This is a good Connecticut that I would say fits within the fairly traditional Connecticut profile. I wouldn't hesitate one bit in smoking more of these and would really like to try one in the morning with some coffee.
