The first third started off with some wonderful flavors, but as it got into the second third, the profile became average and remained that way. I'm definitely interested in revisiting to see if I can get the experience of the first third for more of the cigar.
This cigar smoked with the spirit that the original Rothchildes did. A rustic, not so pretty looking cigar that provided full flavors and a great smoking experience at a low price point. It is definitely one I could see going back to often and another winner for Dion and the Illusione portfolio.
The strength level is a good fit for this cigar, and some people may find this a great daily smoke as I could see this to be a great pairing with coffee in the morning.
After smoking through many Illusione corojo and criollo centric cigars, and now the new Connecticut shade and Equador Habano, it's right and safe to say that Dion is a superb master blender. He just doesn't miss.
The cigar had balance, complexities and nuances in spades. The retrohale tied it all together making the flavors more distinct and full. This is an easy box buy for me.
I overall enjoyed the cigar. Reinier once again proves he makes delicious cigars utilizing some of the best tobaccos Aganorsa has to offer.
Many cigar geeks love Warped and especially its use of the famed Aganorsa tobacco. But this one stands a notch above others giving full depth of flavors, nuances and complexities. I'll be buying a box.
This cigar delivers what I love about Illusione in general; cigars focusing on flavor and balance. Even though the cigar is great now, I am banking that aging will yield a euphoric experience.
A friendly Futuro battle between Kyle Gellis of Warped and Max Fernandez of Casa Fernandez. Who will reign supreme? Both using the same tobaccos, before smoking them, I wondered, “How different could they truly be?” Could different cigar sizes and ratios of the same tobaccos cause a noticeable difference?
This was a fairly sharp and robust rendition of Kyle's Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo blend. I'm interested in purchasing a fiver or tener to age as I believe this will be a great cigar to lay down.
