Team Cigar Review: Big Papi by David Ortiz

Team Cigar Review: Big Papi by David Ortiz

Usually, when a cigar is attached to a celebrity or athlete, the first thing people think about is that it's a gimmick. That isn't the case with this cigar as it carries a nice profile and smoking experience. I could definitely see myself sitting down with this cigar to enjoy an evening baseball game during the summer.

Team Cigar Review: Matilde Serena Corona

This is a fantastic cigar. Really nice cinnamon and toasty oak notes throughout. Great performance only adds to the appeal. These could definitely fit with some people as an ideal daily smoke.

Team Cigar Review: Cohiba Macassar Toro Grande

Team Cigar Review: Cohiba Macassar Toro Grande

Overall, the flavor profile was too subtle and did not meld well. Not that price factors into our scoring system, but given its high price tag of $22 MSRP, I expect a fantastic cigar. This one did not quite live up to it with its subtleties.

Team Cigar Review: Fratello Oro Toro

This would be a perfect morning cigar with coffee. If I had more opportunities to smoke cigars in the morning, I would definitely put this in a group of a few cigars that I think capture that moment.

Team Cigar Review: Recluse Amadeus Habano Reserva Lancero

This is the Recluse that I know based on sampling a small portion of its portfolio; cigars focused on balance, full flavors and great construction. The loud voice but small population of lancero fanboys will love this one, and is not to be missed.

Team Cigar Review: Matilde Quadrata Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Matilde Quadrata Robusto

I find the junior release of the Matilde Quadrata to be their strongest cigar thus far. But true to Matilde's form, it does not compromise full flavors. I enjoyed the interplay of the heated spice paired with sweetness, breadiness and minerality.
