Cigar News: Crowned Heads Announces Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2018

On November 20, 2012, Crowned Heads released what would become the first in a long line of Limited Edition releases, i.e., the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2012.

Mule Kick LE 2012 featured a higher priming Habano wrapper and a slightly altered blend to the OR Four Kicks brand. Despite a very limited production of only 5,000 total cigars, Mule Kick quickly garnered the attention of the premium cigar industry, and over the years, achieved a nearly mythical ‘unicorn’ status among cigar enthusiasts. Five years later, again working in tandem with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Jr., and Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A., Crowned Heads released the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2017.

Today, Crowned Heads is pleased to announce Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2018. The Mule Kick LE 2018 features a ‘modded’ version of the previous year’s releases, utilizing the same binder/filler combination as the 2012 and 2017 editions, finished with a gorgeous dark Connecticut (Habano) wrapper. “Anytime you attempt to improve upon something that’s already well-regarded can be a slippery slope,” commented Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber. “We could’ve easily re-released the OR Mule Kick blend again; however, we wanted to take it to another level. When we added the Connecticut (Habano) wrapper to the blend, we collectively agreed that it just truly added another dimension of structure, flavor, and intensity that surpassed the OR.”

Total production of Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2018 will be limited to 3,000 (10-count) boxes, and will have an MSRP of $10.95 per cigar. Manufactured at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A. (Dominican Republic), Mule Kick LE 2018 will begin shipping in April.
