The upside is, the cigar is very approachable, not being dominant in strength, so especially newer cigar smokers will be able to get through 1.5 hours or so without feeling the need to reach for something to eat.
The cigar started with a very smooth profile and as it went along, lost the cream which left a primarily oak and baking spice note. Smooth is a great descriptor for this cigar. Maybe the best Archetype I've had thus far.
The absinthe version of the Alpha, to me, came through in the form of anise and mint. It was thankfully subtle and by no means overbearing as absinthe in itself can be. I would give it another try, which says a lot because I'm not a fan of absinthe.
