Tatuaje La Union Black Prominente Especial

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje La Union Black Prominente Especial

This Tatuaje La Union Black Prominente Especial is probably the most complex and nuanced cigar I've had coming out of My Father. The ability for a large format (and a long smoking experience) to capture my attention for the bulk of the time is impressive and rarely achieved. I would of course love to smoke more of these but I won't because honestly, no cigar is worth the price tag of $60.

Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial Belle Encre

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial Belle Encre

The Ecuador Sumatra variation of the 10th Anniversary was a good choice. The profile for most of the smoking experience was an enjoyable one, giving sweet cedar, game/meatiness and plenty of roasted nut creaminess. There's also something special about a perfecto in which it's enticing to look at, especially following its burn line. More of this Tatuaje 10th Anniversary Capa Especial Belle Encre please.

Tatuaje 20th RL22

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje 20th RL22

Summary words that come to mind are raw, heavy, unapologetic. The profile had a deepness in dirt grit, torched cedar and red pepper spice that pressed forward from start to finish. I would have enjoyed some more softer notes to taper all the earth heaviness. I can see guys liking this, but this Tatuaje 20th RL22 just isn't for me.

Tatuaje 20th EL22

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje 20th EL22

The Tatuaje 20th EL22 is a lovely cigar that I look forward to smoking again when it is warmer. Great summer cigar. Balanced with a nice selection of flavors, but not over the top. Medium in strength and body. Not overly complex, or showing a ton of transitioning, but a nice flavor profile throughout.

Tatuaje 20th Anniversary Grande Merveille

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje 20th Anniversary Grande Merveille

The Tatuaje 20th Anniversary Grande Merveille is a fantastic release and one of the best Nicaraguan releases from Tatuaje in some time. Maybe even My Father as well. The blend was complex and grabbed my attention throughout. It was balanced while still delivering a nice strength and body level.

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Lomo de Cerdo Tuxtla

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Lomo de Cerdo Tuxtla

The Tatuaje Lomo de Cerdo Tuxtla might be the best of the Tuxtla releases so far. Appearance wise it is not as good as the others, but that means nothing in the giant scheme of things. Great flavors in a very approchable size. A size that every smoker can smoke. Nice strength and richness, but balanced as well. I am going to age some Tuxtlas, but I am beginning to think they are better young. Enjoy these smokes!

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje PCA 2022

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje PCA 2022

At this point in time, i.e. smoking the cigar for review about 3 months after release, the cigar is average tasting. Interestingly enough, I smoked this cigar at a local cigar shop about 2.5 months ago and the cigar was much more enjoyable. It has the overall Tatuaje ID of great body and heavier and bolder flavors, but it's not packaged well yet. I know it will get better with some time.

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Cojonú 2015

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Cojonú 2015

The Tatuaje Cojonú 2015 was another dependable and enjoyable release. The spice level was much more subdued than many other Habano blends I've smoked over the years, and there was enough interesting combination of flavors that kept me engaged through almost the entire review. I would definitely pick up another Cojonú 2015 if I was out, but I can also say that about most Tatuaje releases.
