La Aroma de Cuba

La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut Monarch

Personal Cigar Review: La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut Monarch

The La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut Monarch had an average flavor profile throughout. Really just focused around the toasted cedar, baking spice transitioning to black pepper and earth. I was interested to try this vitola after having reviewed the Corona previously to see how a larger ring gauge would effect the flavor profile. It turns out, that I prefer the Corona and don't really see myself coming back to this size.

The Connecticut definitely had some strength and body, and the flavors were darker than your typical Connecticut as well. It really captured that modern Connecticut. I have a feeling that the cigar will be softer in a larger format, and that may make those more appealing to me. Overall, the La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut Corona was a solid cigar.

I can’t remember the last La Aroma de Cuba that I enjoyed this much. What a great Nicaraguan puro. Balanced blend with enjoyable flavors from start to finish. Great construction as well. My Father has released two Nicaraguan puros recently that have caught my attention. I like what I am seeing. I want more! I will definitely be coming back to this La Aroma de Cuba Pasion Corona Gorda.
