The Epic Ten was a pleasant, slightly above average, albeit underwhelming review experience considering the anniversary nature of the cigar. The Epic Ten did deliver some good flavors through the first third. I had high hopes for the cigar, given the Cameroon wrapper, and my enjoyment of other past Epic releases.
The Epic Project E San Andrés Gran Ola delivers on nuanced and rich flavors, showcasing what a San Andrés wrapper has to offer. Total smoking time was 2 hours and 44 minutes which is a substantial smoking value.
I classify the Epic Smoking Shields as no frills, no thrills, just a good cigar. If you're looking for a cigar that will give you great creaminess, sweetness, earth and tamed spice, this is exactly it.
The transition of the cedar becoming sharper and spicier as the cigar progressed was both unique and tasty. This, surrounded by a cast of nuttiness and black pepper made for an overall good tasting cigar.
