Team Cigar Review: Diplomático by Mombacho Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Diplomático by Mombacho Robusto

The Diplomático by Mombacho Robusto is a nice addition to the portfolio for the brand and this is a cigar I'd have no problem returning to. I'd really like to pair it with the Diplomatico rum to see how they work together, but this isn't a cigar that requires a pairing as it stands up well on its own. I just hope that the construction issues don't appear in future experiences.

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Cosecha 2014

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Cosecha 2014

For this year's Mombacho Cosecha 2014, it was a good showing, albeit not fantastic. The main issue I have with this year's release is the underlying wood bitterness constantly lingering on my palate. Without that, the other flavors are great (rich nuttiness, cedar, baking spices, red pepper spice, minerals).

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Cosecha 2013

The Mombacho Cosecha 2013 is without a doubt Mombacho's finest cigar release to date. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Cosecha 2012, I believe the 2013 has elevated levels of flavor complexity. You need to run, not walk, to your local B&M and buy these before they're gone.

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Cosecha 2012

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Liga Maestro Doble Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Mombacho Liga Maestro Doble Robusto

Typically, non-Cuban double robustos and double coronas have a tendency to be monotonous, leaving me quickly disengaged past the half way point. But this cigar kept me engaged the entire smoking experience with transitions and building complexities. Awesome cigar!
