La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos Toro

Team Cigar Review: La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos Toro

The La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos Toro provided an average smoking experience with a profile focused on dry wood, musty sweet tobacco, earth and occasional sweet or chocolate accents. The retrohale offered some complexity with creamy sweet tobacco early on, later bringing milk chocolate, herbal notes and pepper. This is a cigar where the flawless mechanics outshined the flavor performance.

Avowed The Vow 7.05 Corona Gorda

Team Cigar Review: Avowed The Vow 7.05 Corona Gorda

This is the Klaas that I know and enjoy. A flavor profile that is complex and keeps you engaged with every draw. The medium-full strength is also nice because it's complimentary to the flavor profile, not stronger for the sake of being stronger. I'll gladly have more of these Avowed The Vow 7.05 Corona Gorda.

J.C. Newman Tampa Smokers Toro

Team Cigar Review: J.C. Newman Tampa Smokers Toro

Although this was a very small part of the cigar (first inch), the amount of chestnut sweetness and creaminess was awesome. Small part but due to the amazeballsness, worth mentioning. But past that, the profile took a downturn, and by the time it reached the second third, there was no stopping the mediocrity. There are better Connecticut shades out there that can be found for ~$5-10 cheaper. It's such a shame the J.C. Newman Tampa Smokers Toro couldn't capture the first inch experience for longer.

MBombay Gaaja Natural Robusto

Team Cigar Review: MBombay Gaaja Natural Robusto

The MBombay Gaaja Natural Robusto delivered a well-balanced profile in the first and second thirds, with sweet tobacco, creamy chocolate, nuts and wood all playing well together. The first third was the most dynamic, showing transitions in sweetness, spice and wood intensity. The final third shifted toward a more tannic, dry wood focus, which was less engaging. Overall, a good cigar I’d be happy to smoke again.

Domain Entropy Robusto Gordo

Team Cigar Review: Domain Entropy Robusto Gordo

Despite the pesky burn performance, I get behind the flavor profile of this Domain Entropy Robusto Gordo. There's familiar Connecticut Broadleaf in the sense of dank, gritty earthiness and cocoa. But this blend lends to a tad more spice, which is unique and welcoming. I'd enjoy more of these.

Bandolero Premium Bravos

Team Cigar Review: Bandolero Premium Bravos

The Bandolero Premium Bravos delivered a refined experience with a consistent, flavorful progression. The first two thirds showcased a dynamic range of creamy bread, buttery tobacco, aged wood and nuanced vegetal and baking spice notes, particularly through the retrohale. The final third lost some complexity, leaning heavier into dry, tannic wood and earth, but still maintained an overall enjoyable character. A worthy option for those who enjoy subtle transitions and classic flavor profiles with finesse.

El Rey del Mundo Appointment Robusto

Personal Cigar Review: El Rey del Mundo Appointment Robusto

The El Rey del Mundo Appointment Robusto had an average flavor profile throughout, focused around toasted cedar, earth and black pepper. The supporting notes weren't all that great. Overall, a pretty average experience and not a cigar I'd see myself returning to.

Stoic Moderation

Team Cigar Review: Stoic Moderation

The Stoic Moderation had a nice flavor profile through the first two thirds, with the unique mustiness and a plethora of other flavor components. It took a step down in the final third as the mustiness lost its uniqueness and was a bit more cedar and earth driven. I’d be up for coming back to this cigar and also interested in trying the other vitolas in the line to see what they deliver.

Plasencia Alma del Cielo Boreal

Team Cigar Review: Plasencia Alma del Cielo Boreal

I really liked the Plasencia Alma del Cielo Boreal. I loved how balanced this cigar was and how filling it was at the same time. It was not too much with strength and body, and the flavors offered an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The burn and draw were great, and I loved the barnyard, wood, spice, cream and earth qualities. It showed the quality of Nicaraguan tobacco, the classic flavors of Nicaraguan tobacco, and the elegance of Nicaraguan tobacco that we are not often gifted.

Villiger 1888 Gran Reserva

Team Cigar Review: Villiger 1888 Gran Reserva

The Villiger 1888 Gran Reserva delivers a profile that leans heavily into earth, chocolate, wood and sweet tobacco, with flashes of coffee and baking spice in the middle third. The second third stands out for its more refined balance and nuanced notes. However, two spontaneous re-lights disrupted both the burn integrity and flavor delivery, dragging the overall experience down.
