Team Cigar Review: Foundation Wise Man Maduro Corona

The Foundation Wise Man Maduro Corona had a good start to it with a more earthy foundation to the profile. The second third was still pleasant but I didn't find the same level of complexity as the start. The last third was relatively straightforward with not much in the way of flavor changes or dynamic combinations. Unfortunately for me, this cigar experience, while enjoyable, is a big step down in terms of complexity, balance and overall flavor delivery.

Team Cigar Review: Foundation Wise Man Corojo Corona

The Foundation Wise Man Corojo Corona had an average flavor profile throughout. While I would describer the flavor as full, it was just too dry to make it all that enjoyable. From what I've smoked here, I would put the original release from Aganorsa a fair bit higher, but I understand the move to a new factory. I might need to try another vitola for this, but I'm interested to see how the Maduro fares.

This year’s collaboration is with Foundation Cigar Company and in true Firecracker form, President and master blender, Nicholas Melillo delivered excellence with the Wiseman Maduro Firecracker.

On the heels of Wiseman Maduro Robusto’s 93 rating in Cigar Aficionado, Foundation Cigar Company adds a Cuban box press Lancero to the line. The product will be released at next month’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.

Team Cigar Review: Foundation The Wise Man Maduro Corona Gorda

The flavor profile was pretty nice and exhibited some good complexities through the first two thirds. Performance was very good and required no attention. Definitely give this a try as it’s one I’ll be looking forward to smoking more of.
