Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Bayou No. 32

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Bayou No. 32 was quite monotonous as the flavor profile was concentrated around the core set of flavors that coated my tongue and weren't all that exciting. The degradation in the final third with the char joining just capped off the not so great performance. Thus far, this is my least favorite of the series. Not one I'd come back to.

Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Holiday Y2022

Fitting to the name, this Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Holiday Y2022 reminds me of Christmas and the general winter holidays, enjoying delicious festive sweets. I also think this is probably by far the best representation of utilizing other tobaccos to pair with traditional cigar tobaccos. I never felt like the pipe tobacco overtook the cigar tobaccos (or vice versa). They actually complimented each other quite well.

Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star English No. 27

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star English No. 27 started well as the peatiness and later pipe tobacco notes were enjoyable. As they waned in the next two thirds, the profile was fairly average. It's just too long of a smoking experience to keep the flavor/engagement component. It's nice for a short time, but then becomes a bit mundane.

Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Navy No. 1056

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Navy No. 1056 started well with a nice combination of flavors and that peated whisky as a nice supporting note. The profile dropped to average in the second third as the baking spice fell back and maintained that level the rest of the way. This is probably my favorite of the four releases thus far in the line. I could have gone for a fuller peated whisky note in the profile.

Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Stillwell Star Aromatic No. 1 provided an interesting bridge between cigar and pipe tobacco in the first third that I was hoping would continue. The second and last thirds didn't seem to find the same balance for me and instead provided a pleasant flavor that wasn't as complex. I don't know whether a smaller ring gauge or larger ring gauge is the answer, but I'd be interested in trying a new size that could deliver more of that first third.

The initial release includes four unique expressions, each representing a particular pipe tobacco genre custom blended by the famed head blender, Jeremy Reeves, of the legendary American pipe tobacco maker Cornell & Diehl® (C&D).
