Personal Cigar Review: Micallef A Gordo

Personal Cigar Review: Micallef A Gordo

Overall, the Micallef A Gordo was fairly mundane. The stale note to the oak was a bit of a detractor and the finish with the char and light bitterness was a bit of a bummer. For the size, the price is fairly attractive, but you'd need to really like the flavor profile to make it work. For me, I don't see myself returning to this one.

Team Cigar Review: Micallef Connecticut Toro

The Micallef Connecticut Toro had a nice start, with a good combination of flavors. This is definitely a punchier and fuller strength Connecticut shade. It also provides none of the traditional components of hay or bitterness. I'd be up for this cigar from time to time when I'm looking for a fuller bodied and strength Connecticut.

Team Cigar Review: Micallef Experiencia La Crema Toro

Team Cigar Review: Micallef Experiencia La Crema Toro

True to it's name, the Micallef Experiencia La Crema Toro packed quite a bit of cream like notes starting off with an oily mouthfeel with flavors of buttered bread, roasted nuts followed by hay and tart cherries on the retrohale. I had a great first experience with the brand. Let's hope it continues.

Personal Cigar Review: Micallef Migdalia Corona Extra

Personal Cigar Review: Micallef Migdalia Corona Extra

The Micallef Migdalia Corona Extra started with a simple but nice flavor profile, but once it reached the second third it was fairly average and continued that way throughout. I liked how this cigar started, but it's probably not something I'll be in a hurry to revisit, but I'm still interested in smoking through their various lines.
