Team Cigar Review: My Father Flor de Las Antillas 10th Anniversary

I wasn't blown away by the My Father Flor de Las Antillas 10th Anniversary. I have never been crazy on the line, but I would have expected more with this being a 10th Anniversary blend. Of course, it could be because I just was not one for the line from the get go. However, I have found My Father to do very well with anniversary cigars, even if I did not enjoy the core line blend as much as I cared for the limited offering.

Team Cigar Review: My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition Corona Especial

Finally, a limited edition cigar that smokes like a limited edition cigar should smoke. What a fantastic cigar. Balanced and beautiful. Great draw and burn. Best cigar I have smoked in 2022. I could go on and on about this My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition Corona Especial. Great size. The creaminess with the pepper, leather and earth. Amazing! Well done!

Personal Cigar Review: Fonseca by My Father Cosacos

Personal Cigar Review: Fonseca by My Father Cosacos

Initially when planning to review this cigar, the Fonseca by My Father Cosacos was the one I was the most interested in, but in smoking this and the Cedros, I found the Cedros to perform better. I don't see myself coming back to this vitola, but might be interested in checking out others to see if they perform more like the Cedros or if there is an even better vitola in the line.

Team Cigar Review: Fonseca by My Father Cedros

Team Cigar Review: Fonseca by My Father Cedros

I really enjoyed the Fonseca by My Father Cedros and I think it is the best release to come out of the factory in a long time. The flavor profile was complex and I thought the finish was brilliant. There is transitioning and depth, and at no point did the strength and body take over from the flavors. Really a lovely blend and an important Nicaraguan puro for the company.

Team Cigar Review: My Father La Promesa Toro

Team Cigar Review: My Father La Promesa Toro

The My Father La Promesa Toro has some interesting complexity in the first third of cream, baking spices, cocoa, cedar and the trademark My Father pepper. That complexity fades moving into the second third and the experience is fairly average for the remainder of the cigar.

Personal Cigar Review: My Father La Gran Oferta Torpedo

Personal Cigar Review: My Father La Gran Oferta Torpedo

Overall, the profile was quite dark with the dark wood that became charred and the strength that built from medium to medium-full. The My Father La Gran Oferta Torpedo probably isn't something I'd return to, but for those that like dark profiles with the strength to match, I could see this being something that draws them in.

Personal Cigar Review: My Father Limited Edition 2011

If you're a fan of My Father, this cigar is one that continues to fit into the portfolio nicely. While it probably isn't possible to find any more of these in shops, I'm sure some are still kicking around on the secondary market. It's one I wouldn't mind smoking again as I have a couple more sitting in the humidor.

Team Cigar Review: My Father La Opulencia Corona

Flavorwise, it was dominantly earth and leather with a great caramel sweetness within the first two thirds, but unfortunately tapering off within the last third. This new blend is definitely worth a try but nothing to go deep on.

Personal Cigar Review: Don Pepin Garcia 10th Anniversary

Personal Cigar Review: Don Pepin Garcia 10th Anniversary

I can say the cigar has aged quite well. I enjoyed the overall profile, especially with the spice transitions keeping me engaged the entire, long 3 hours. I think the cigar has a lot more legs left, and aging for another few years won't hurt, and hopefully will improve it.
