Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Cinco Décadas El Cumiche

I heard some complaints that the Joya de Nicaragua Cinco Décadas El Cumiche was just Joya de Nicaragua re-releasing a great cigar in different vitola sizes every year. I'm not sure how that can be a bad thing when they've managed to dial in a blend that is consistently good and engaging through the entire cigar. Would I smoke this again? Absolutely I would.

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Lonsdale

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Lonsdale

After smoking several sizes, you really can't go wrong with any Antaño CT. All will give you those nice white/soft notes that we all love in a Connecticut Shade. The bitterness may come, but it's never entirely off-putting. I'd recommend getting a sampler pack of various Antanos and find out if the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Lonsdale is your favorite.

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Dos Cientos

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Dos Cientos

The Joya de Nicaragua Dos Cientos is a balanced cigar that is complex from beginning to end. Nice bit of depth with wonderful flavors. A fantastic multi-nation blend that one may not think Joya would or could create. They continue to produce fantastic new blends when released, great vitola expansions, and keep the quality up on their existing brands. Job well done!

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva GT20

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva GT20

I enjoyed the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 and the flavor profile delivered, but it lacked some complexity and depth throughout. I feel like there have been enough variations of the Antaño over the years that you can compare it somewhat to Fuente’s Opus X. This comes off as the Angel’s Share for the brand.

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Edicion Americana TAA Exclusive

Overall, the Joya de Nicaragua Cuatro Cinco Edicion Americana TAA Exclusive was pretty good. It had a nice balance of flavor and strength. This is what I would expect from a TAA release, especially with it coming from an established line, carrying a unique vitola. The price point works for the experience and I'd have no problem coming back to this cigar.

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno Le Premier

Team Cigar Review: Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno Le Premier

A fantastic cigar, the Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno Le Premier is made for connoisseurs and yet approachable to novices. The more time you take in focusing on the flavors delivered, the more you will pickup, but if you simply want to smoke a quality cigar and not focus on flavors, this will be perfect and still show quality notes. One of the best, if not best cigars I have smoked and reviewed this year.
