The Don Doroteo El Alcalde had an interesting assortment of flavors in the first third, with the profile remaining pleasant, but less dynamic for the remainder of the review. Price point aside, this cigar was pleasant to smoke and although I only scored the first third as good, I could see myself smoking this again. Unfortunately, factoring in the price point, the cigar would have to be good through all three thirds for me to seek out another one.
This Don Doroteo Salt of the Earth Piedra Angular Toro is one of those cigars that could have been more. The flavors were overall generic, but if they were fuller, it could have easily been a good cigar. With that said, it's something I would not be interested in returning to.
The Don Doroteo Salt of the Earth Piedra Viva Toro delivered some engaging and interesting flavor combinations through the first third, and was pleasant for the remainder of the review while lacking a lot of the dynamic character that was initially present. I'm glad I had the opportunity to smoke and review the Don Doroteo Salt of the Earth Piedra Viva Toro, but I don't think this is a cigar I would be likely to revisit.
