Aganorsa Leaf

JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre

Team Cigar Review: JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre

The JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre is a cigar that starts with promise and balance but gradually narrows into a more earth-driven experience. It delivers an average overall performance that's worth exploring for those who enjoy earth-forward profiles, but it doesn’t quite maintain the complexity needed to stand out.

Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Dave’s 20th Anniversary

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Dave’s 20th Anniversary

Ultimately, the Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Dave’s 20th Anniversary delivers a lively and engaging first half followed by a more restrained but still enjoyable finish. It’s a cigar that rewards smokers who appreciate distinct bursts of flavor early on, grounded by earth and minerality throughout, and wrapped in Aganorsa’s characteristic bread-and-spice signature.

Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada

The Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada was a good cigar. It was nice to see the Aganorsa qualities return in this blend. It delivered a balanced flavor profile with bits of sweet tobacco, sweet spices, musty barnyard and rich earth qualities. This cigar is not worth $30.00, but it’s one of the better recently released Aganorsa blends. I would come back to this cigar, but it would not be for smoking now. I would love to see how these cigars age.

Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio Corona

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio Corona

The Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio Corona had a dynamic and engaging first third. The second and last thirds had a lot of flavor components but I didn't find them as coherent as the first third. Overall, the cigar delivered an above average flavor profile with perfect construction. I would likely smoke another Arsenio again, and I would want to try it in either the Robusto or Toro formats to see how they stacked up.

New Cuba Superior Connecticut Robusto

Personal Cigar Review: New Cuba Superior Connecticut Robusto

The New Cuba Superior Connecticut Robusto had a nice start, with the sweetness mixing with the components from the tobacco. As the sweetness faded the tobacco components were more prevalent and the overall profile took a slight step down and maintained that level the rest of the way. This is an interesting cigar with the added sweetness from the head. I'm on the fence on this one.

Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Gran Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Gran Robusto

The Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Gran Robusto was a good cigar, and a consistent one as well. All samples produced the same smoking experience which was to my liking. It has been a while since an AGANORSA smoked at this level, and this reminded me of some early AGANORSA/Casa Fernandez releases. It's not as refined as their offerings during that golden era, but a really good blend. A really good Nicaraguan puro.

Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut Toro

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut Toro

I enjoyed my review of the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut Toro, with a relatively consistent flavor profile in the first and second thirds, at times up to medium strength on some of the flavor components. The last third was still pleasant but not quite at the same engagement or dynamic flavor combinations that were delivered by the rest of the cigar. I would smoke the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut Toro again, I think it presents well and delivers a substantial value proposition on the smoking time.
