Tatuaje Sextooth Holiday

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje Sextooth Holiday

The Tatuaje Sextooth Holiday is a nice little smoke. It delivers a flavor profile that is fairly complex, and while there is not much transitioning throughout the cigar, the core profile is complex enough to carry the cigar. It's nice in appearance, and has a great burn and draw. The earth, tobacco and manure notes are really enjoyable.

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro Chisel

Personal Cigar Review: La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro Chisel

The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Maduro Chisel had an average flavor profile throughout, focused around toasted cedar and earth. The creamy black pepper was a nice touch, but it couldn't elevate the overall profile. The snug draw and burn issues put a bit of a damper on the overall experience as it required more attention than I want to give during a smoking session. I might come back to this to see if a better constructed offering would perform better.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Umbagog Bronzeback Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Umbagog Bronzeback Robusto

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Umbagog Bronzeback Robusto delivers a satisfying profile with enough balance and flavor development to earn a Good rating. It may not push the boundaries of complexity, but it offers a dependable and enjoyable experience that showcases the rustic, earthy style often associated with the Umbagog line.

Fermin Perez Bold Maduro Toro

Team Cigar Review: Fermin Perez Bold Maduro Toro

The Fermin Perez Bold Maduro Toro is a cigar that starts strong and finishes competently but doesn’t sustain the early momentum needed to elevate it beyond Average. It’s a solid, well-constructed smoke with moments of interest early on, best appreciated for its balance rather than its complexity.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut Toro

Personal Cigar Review: Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut Toro

The Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut Toro had an average flavor profile throughout, focused around toasted cedar, hay and dry earth. It was a smooth smoking experience. While I wouldn't see coming back to this cigar frequently, it's an easy smoking experience with an attractive price point, so I could see smoking it from time to time.

Kelner LE 80

Team Cigar Review: Kelner LE 80

The Kelner LE 80 is a good cigar. From beginning to end the cigar delivers complementary and complex flavors. The cigar is balanced and smooth. The core flavors of coffee, earth, nuts, cream and hay are enjoyable from beginning to end, and there are nice additions within each third. Yes, I would come back to this cigar and would smoke at any time. I would love to bring a box to the beach.

Crux Marblehead Toro

Team Cigar Review: Crux Marblehead Toro

The Crux Marblehead Toro is a solid performer that combines excellent construction with a balanced and enjoyable flavor profile. While it doesn’t fully maintain its early complexity through to the finish, it delivers enough consistency and refinement to earn a well-deserved good rating.

Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe Natural

Personal Cigar Review: Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe Natural

The Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe Natural had an average start and then dropped a level in the second third as the paper gained some bitterness. It remained at that level for the remainder of the cigar. This is a serviceable budget cigar, but the bitterness of the paper was a detriment, which is unfortunate. With the perfect construction, if it could have dodged the bitterness, it would be an attractive cheap smoking experience. Not a cigar I'd see coming back to.

JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre

Team Cigar Review: JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre

The JFR Lunatic Maduro Hombre Libre is a cigar that starts with promise and balance but gradually narrows into a more earth-driven experience. It delivers an average overall performance that's worth exploring for those who enjoy earth-forward profiles, but it doesn’t quite maintain the complexity needed to stand out.
