For being high priced at $39 and especially bearing the Davidoff brand name, the Davidoff Chefs Edition 2021 was a disappointment. The astringent leather stayed on my palate hours after smoking the cigar. Not even food helped the matter. I know Davidoff can and should do better than this. I will not be back for more.
The iterations in the process of creating the perfect cigar to fill time beautifully were demanding, but at the same time inspiring as the team consisted of the most brilliant palates. The result achieved by both, the Davidoff Master Blenders and the Master Chefs, shows impressively that "«Haute Cuisine» has led, deliciously, to «Haut Fumeur»."
The Davidoff Chefs Edition 50th Anniversary is a great cigar and a fantastic use of Yamasa tobacco in the filler blend and wrapper. It is complex in flavor profiles being delivered and with that is some depth and transitioning. As to be expected, Davidoff created a well constructed cigar with high quality tobacco to make for a great smoking experience.
