Pre-light Experience

Seth: The Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso is a lovely belicoso that is finished with a golden hay wrapper. It is incredibly silky in texture and sports small to medium sized veins throughout. The tapered head has a bullet like finish, and it’s nicely done. There is a nice firmness with the cigar, and it has a lovely aroma of leather, tobacco, cedar, hay and tobacco.
John: The Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso features a Colorado-colored wrapper and a pronounced torpedo cap that falls somewhere between a standard torpedo and a 109-style cap. I weighed the cigar at 14.5 grams and measured the humidity at 63.6% using the HumidiMeter Pro. Aromas from the wrapper included tobacco, hay, wood and a vegetal, almost mossy note. From the foot, I picked up hay, that same mossy character, and wood.
Jiunn: The Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso has a smooth Colorado claro wrapper. Veins are well pressed, seams tight, bunch and roll even and the nipple style head is well wrapped. Pre-light aromas give sweet bread and cedar.

First Third

Seth: The first third begins with soft tobacco notes that are paired with cream, coffee, hay and earth. There are some sweet spice notes present, and the cigar smokes around medium in strength and body.
John: The first third opens with tobacco sweetness leading the profile, combining with hay and mildly dry wood. As the cigar progresses, the profile remains largely unchanged. Approaching the halfway point of the first third, a vegetal note quietly moves into the center of the profile, adding a subtle earthy freshness.
Jiunn: There’s a decent amount of things going on here. The profile is balanced with flavors of grass, hay, mild oak tannins, cream and sour citrus. Retrohaling has a combination of citrus and mild dried red pepper spice. The finish is medium length with grass and hay. Strength and body is medium.

Second Third

Seth: The second third continues to deliver those tobacco notes with cream, coffee, hay, earth and some cedar. Sweet spice notes are present on the finish, and the cigar continues to smoke at a medium level for strength and body.
John: Moving into the second third, the profile remains consistent, led by tobacco sweetness, mild pepper, hay and lightly dry wood. There are very few changes as the cigar progresses, with wood gradually becoming the primary flavor driver by the bottom half.
Jiunn: The second third has the same set of flavors but now the profile showcases a mixture of citrus and cream first, while the grassy/hay aspects are on the back end. No changes to the existing good retrohale and finish. Strength and body remains medium.

Final Third

Seth: The final third continues to deliver the flavors from the first and second. Hay, tobacco, cream, coffee, earth and cedar. Sweet spices remain on the finish, and it smokes cool to the end. Like before, medium in strength and body.
John: The final third begins with creamy wood accented by dry, tannic notes, with the tannic wood sitting at medium-minus strength through the finish. As the cigar settles in, the vegetal note returns to the center of the profile. By the halfway point of the final third, bitterness moves into the finish, adding a sharper edge to the experience.
Jiunn: The final third is less complex, being mainly driven by cedar wood and mild bitter tannins. The other flavors of citrus and cream have now dissipated. Strength and body finishes the same medium.

Burn

Seth: The burn is perfect throughout.
John: The burn was excellent throughout. It was consistently straight, with the ash holding firm and dropping in clean one-inch increments.
Jiunn: Great burn performance featuring an even burn, tight ashes, ample smoke production and cool burning temperatures.

Draw

Seth: The draw is amazing throughout.
John: The draw measured 34 inches of water on the Cigar Medics draw tester. Subjectively, it sat between a half and one notch into the resistant spectrum, placing it squarely in the ideal range between open and resistant.
Jiunn: The draw was also great, giving the ideal air flow and resistance.

Overall

Seth: The Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso is a good cigar. I would like a little more complexity and depth to my cigar, but this is a good smoke. It’s a good Connecticut with a solid profile and amazing construction. It’s hard to find any true faults with this cigar.
John: This cigar delivers a straightforward and consistent profile centered around tobacco sweetness, hay, wood and subtle vegetal notes. The mossy, slightly earthy character gives the cigar a bit of individuality early on, helping it stand apart from a more standard wood-and-hay profile, but the overall experience remains fairly restrained from start to finish. The biggest characteristic of this cigar is its consistency—for better and for worse. While the profile never becomes unpleasant through most of the experience, it also doesn’t evolve in a meaningful way. The second third in particular feels static, with wood gradually overtaking the sweeter and more nuanced components rather than building on them. By the final third, the increasing tannins and emerging bitterness narrow the profile further, resulting in a drier and less balanced finish. Even so, the cigar never fully loses composure, and the creamy texture in the final third helps soften some of the sharper edges. From a construction standpoint, this cigar performs exceptionally well. The burn is flawless, and the draw sits comfortably in the ideal range, making for an effortless smoking experience throughout. In the end, the Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso is a well-constructed cigar with a largely linear flavor profile. It remains enjoyable enough throughout, but the lack of meaningful progression keeps it firmly in average territory. Total smoking time was 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Jiunn: When smoking this cigar, I kept thinking this would be a great way to start off the day with some nice single origin Ethiopian Yirgacheffe pour over to draw out more of the citrus and berry notes. While there are a plethora of Connecticut shades in the marketplace, few impress. This Davidoff Corona Cigar Exclusive 2026 Belicoso does impress and is worthy of spending coin on it.
