Pre-light Experience
The Herrera Estelí Miami Robusto Grande is constructed well and great in appearance. It is well rolled, firm throughout and it has a thick wrapper. There are medium to large veins present throughout and they are thick and noticeable. The wrapper has a great Colorado Maduro coloring to it and I am getting aromas of soft cocoa, nuts, strong earth, minerals, leather and wood off the wrapper and foot.
First Third
The first third opens up by delivering this almond and walnut profile that is accompanied by some espresso beans. I am getting some cocoa powder qualities with that and the finish is of dry earth and faint tropical fruit notes. It is medium-full to full in body and strength, and the flavors are on the fuller side.
Second Third
As I get into the second third of the cigar, I find some transitioning taking place and I am beginning to get some citrus qualities accompanied by coffee beans and almonds. There are some dry cedar notes present and the finish is of dry earth and faint cocoa notes. Like before, the cigar is between medium-full and full in body and strength and full flavored.
Final Third
The finish is quite pronounced and showing more transitioning. I am picking up toasted notes, dry earth, strong spices, cocoa powder and black pepper. There is a faint bit of lemon citrus present, but it’s subtle on the end. Like before, the cigar is between medium-full and full in body and strength and full flavored.
Draw
The draw was perfect. Great level of resistance from beginning to end.

Overall
The Herrera Estelí Miami Robusto Grande is an awesome cigar and it has a good amount of positive traits. The blend is complex, lots of depth from start to finish and there is transitioning present as well. It has a nice strength and body level and the flavors go head to head with that from beginning to end. There is balance between these tropical fruit notes and strong cocoa and espresso notes which make for a great experience, and it is rounded out with the almond qualities as well. I think this is one of the best blends Willy has done with Drew Estate, it is the best Herrera Estelí offering in my opinion, and I love that it is made in Miami. It captures that old school vibe while offering some modern aspects overall.
