Pre-light Experience
The Aganorsa Leaf Connecticut Robusto is a nicely pressed cigar that is finished with a lovely wrapper. It is softly pressed while still firm overall and silky in texture. The wrapper has a Natural coloring to it and it is a classic golden hay color. There are few veins present and those present are small, and I am getting aromas of honey, cedar, hay, tobacco earth and stone fruit.
First Third
The first third opens up with dry earth and soft sweet spice notes. I am picking up some dark cherry, stone fruit notes and it has some dry cocoa powder, cinnamon and pepper present as well. There is a creamy and hay aspect present as well and it is on the finish. I would classify the cigar as being between medium and medium-full in body, and the strength and flavors are around a medium level.
Second Third
The second third continues to show some of the dry earth and soft sweet spice notes and the stone fruit qualities are remaining as well. I am getting some nuts, leather and cream as well and it is balanced and enjoyable throughout. Nice transitioning and complexity from the first to second third. I would classify the second third as being between medium and medium-full for strength, body and flavors.
Final Third
I am in the final third of the cigar now and loving how the cigar is finishing. It has this soft cream profile and with that is cedar and stone fruit. There are spices present and with that dry earth, cocoa powder and toasted nuts. It is complex and all about the great flavors. Like before, the cigar is smoking between medium and medium-full throughout.
Draw
The draw was spot on with the cigar and did well with the pressed format.

Overall
This is a fantastic Connecticut and it is a Connecticut that shows the qualities that Connecticut smokers will enjoy, but also some additional depth with the stone fruit and cocoa notes. It is almost a soft Cuban seed wrapper offering. At times, this reminded me of a Cuban H. Upmann or Montecristo. It really took the Connecticut to a nice flavorful level while not going overboard with strength. The Aganorsa Leaf Connecticut Robusto is balanced and complex showing transition from start to finish. A flavorful cigar that is nicely priced and approachable by all smokers. Great smoke!
