Rabbit Hole Bespoke Gin marks the first new product outside of the American whiskey space for the rapidly-growing, Kentucky-based spirits brand. “Bespoke Gin” began rolling out at retail nationally in mid-April.
For such a lower proofed whiskey of 86 proof, it's amazing how much fullness of flavors there are in the Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 21 Year Old (especially the coffee and dark chocolate). It really is a shame on the high demand of Japanese whisky since the MSRP of $330 is quite high (and that's if you can even find it at MSRP). But it is absolutely worth every penny.
Overall, the Nikka Whisky From The Barrel (U.S.) is a delicious youthful, vibrant and full flavored whisky hitting all the right flavor spectrums (wood, smoke, spices, sweetness, fruit). The only minor gripe I have would be to have a more complex and deeper finish. But then again, at $65 MSRP, there really isn't anything else you can ask for. This one is well worth stocking up on.
The official product launch will be in April across the State of Texas, and will expand to the rest of country over the course of 2018. Initial launch will be two products: Oak & Eden Bourbon and Oak & Eden Rye.
