The Bombay Tobak M.Esteli Torpedo is a pleasant smoking experience, with the most complex portion of the profile coming through in the first third. The second and last third had moments of complexity but didn't reach the levels that it demonstrated at the start. Construction was impeccable with a perfect burn and draw experience.
Vintage tobaccos from Paraguay, Peru & Nicaragua have been perfectly blended with an HVA wrapper from our farm in Ecuador. As of the initial phase, only 25,000 of each two sizes (Toro and Robusto) has been released.
These cigars will be available in three popular sizes : Robusto (5.0” x 54 rg), Toro (6.0” x 54 rg) and a Torpedo (6.0” x 54 rg) at the price point of $6.95 to $7.95. MEsteli will be available as an open stock item.
Diademas are special vitolas, so you better have a good blend when all is said and done. The Bombay Tobak MQBA Diadem may not be the type of cigar that a more seasoned smoker looks for, or one who wants more body and strength, but I found it really enjoyable. A very elegant introductory cigar.
The MBombay Classic Torpedo is on the higher cost side, but as most of the MBombay offerings, it can earn that. If you like a good dose of flavor with a lower strength level, then this is a cigar that is well worth seeking out. I'm looking forward to smoking more.
After all the efforts from training new “buncheros” and the “new blood” cigar rollers, we are very pleased to announce the launch of the MBombay® Classic Torpedo. The cigars are aged for more than 14 months (which will be adhered to for future batches as well).
This is a cigar that requires your attention, so I wouldn't recommend smoking it while you are doing other things or pairing it with much more than water. For those that are fans of nuanced flavors, this is a must try.
The Gaaja Maduro started great with balance and nuance, but unfortunately fell further and further apart as the cigar progressed. This makes me believe the cigar still needs time.
This is the profile where MBombay really shines for me. The unique wood notes along with some cream and transitions between black pepper and cinnamon.
This cigar had a nice and mellow flavor with some pretty interesting transitions. The transitions were also plentiful which really kept my interest throughout the cigar.
