Black Works Studio Boondock Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Black Works Studio Boondock Robusto

The Black Works Studio Boondock Robusto had a nice start, with a bold mix of toasted oak, dark earth and black pepper. The pepper began to fade as the cigar went along and with the earth moving to the front of the profile with the oak, it took a step down in the second third and maintained that level the rest of the way. The overall profile was pretty linear from the second third on.

Black Label Trading Co. Macabre Corona Gorda

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Macabre Corona Gorda

Overall, this Black Label Trading Co. Macabre Corona Gorda was a well-balanced, nuanced cigar with enough unique characteristics to stand apart from the typical profile, earning a solid Good rating despite a finish that couldn't quite maintain the momentum established during the first two thirds.

Black Label Trading Co. Deliverance Nocturne Toro

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Deliverance Nocturne Toro

Rich and bold in flavors that is most fitting for after a heavier meal or cigar #2 or #3 of the day. The boldness and deliciousness of the earthy spice and wood notes mixed with the creamy and sweet coffee notes really hit the spot. Would absolutely smoke this Black Label Trading Co. Deliverance Nocturne Toro again.

Black Label Trading Co. Eletto Toro

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Eletto Toro

The Black Label Trading Co. Eletto Toro was a great stick. Balanced from beginning to end, the cigar was beautiful in appearance and wonderful in terms of flavors delivered. I loved the profile of earth, cocoa, leather, tobacco and spices. The strength and body were never too much, but they were present and pairing perfectly with the flavors. I would come back to this vitola and would love to see how the cigar ages. BLTC is simply on point right now.

Black Label Trading Co. Super Deluxe 2025 Petite Corona

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Super Deluxe 2025 Petite Corona

The Black Label Trading Co. Super Deluxe 2025 Petite Corona is a fantastic cigar. The cigar has a great flavor profile, a nice body and strength level, and is finished with wonderful construction. The flavors of cocoa, warm spices and rich earth pair well with one another, and while there is not a lot of transitioning, it does what a petit corona should do. It delivers a great core flavor profile that is present throughout. I would try the other vitolas in the brand, but this petite corona is box worthy.

Black Label Trading Co. Bishops Blend 2024 Robusto

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Bishops Blend 2024 Robusto

The Black Label Trading Co. Bishops Blend 2024 Robusto started out with interesting and complex flavor combinations in the first third. The rest of the cigar was pleasant, but lacked the same number of flavor components and engagement as the first third. While I have enjoyed many of the releases over the years, this one fell a bit short of the mark for me. I think the price point is quite reasonable for the 2024/2025 market and I'll be back to see how the 2025 release stacks up.

Black Works Studio Intergalactic Event Horizon Petite Corona

Team Cigar Review: Black Works Studio Intergalactic Event Horizon Petite Corona

The Black Works Studio Intergalactic Event Horizon Petite Corona is a fantastic cigar. To begin with, the vitola is fantastic. It’s not too small or big. Most importantly, the cigar delivered great flavors. There was depth, complexity and transitioning throughout. From beginning to end, the cigar performed incredibly well. This is what PA Broadleaf is about and used to be about. Black Label has shown so much growth as a company. It’s great to see!

Black Label Trading Co. Orthodox Corona Gorda

Team Cigar Review: Black Label Trading Co. Orthodox Corona Gorda

This Black Label Trading Co. Orthodox Corona Gorda was a wonderful cigar and a fantastic corona gorda. It was balanced, rich and flavorful. We’ve been smoking a lot of Mexican offerings, but none like this. It delivered the rich earth and cocoa qualities, but lots of strong earth, spices and wood as well. Great burn and draw. You could make an argument that the appearance of the cigar is a little much, but it is also in line with what BLTC has released. Yes, I will smoke again.

Black Works Studio Paper Crane Corona Gorda

Team Cigar Review: Black Works Studio Paper Crane Corona Gorda

The Black Works Studio Paper Crane Corona Gorda represents yet another consistent, engaging and tasty cigar release from Black Works Studio. Each third delivered flavor combinations at varying levels of intensity that kept my attention and has me wanting to seek out more. With the Paper Crane sporting an Ecuadorian Connecticut, it reinforces that James Brown at Black Works Studio can deliver cigar blends across the entire strength spectrum.
