Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Classic Corona

Team Cigar Review: JRE Aladino Classic Corona

The JRE Aladino Classic Corona offered balanced and interesting flavors that at times were up to medium-full strength but remained balanced through the majority of the cigar review. I would definitely smoke the JRE Aladino Classic Corona, especially when you factor in the approachable price point.

Team Cigar Review: RoMa Craft Baka Hunter Gatherer

Team Cigar Review: RoMa Craft Baka Hunter Gatherer

The review of the RoMa Craft Baka Hunter Gatherer was consistent with the sample I smoked years ago before the trade show. The flavors are nuanced, layered and balanced, and deliver engagement through the entire review. I'd happily continue to smoke these on the regular, especially given that the price point is reasonable for a cigar with a Cameroon wrapper.

Cigar Editorial: Weaselfest 2022 Recap

Cigar Editorial: Weaselfest 2022 Recap

Listen man, if it isn’t apparent by now, I was already fully committed to returning in 2023 halfway through the weekend. If you’re a fan of RoMa Craft cigars, there’s really no reason you shouldn’t be attending either. The price for a standard ticket is less than the price of a box of cigars, and the value you get from that is clearly far beyond that. I hope to see you there.

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla

Team Cigar Review: Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla

The Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla came out of the gate swinging with some interesting and fuller flavor combinations that kept me on my toes. That complexity seemed to fall off rapidly moving into the second third, eventually becoming linear and flat in the last third with earth being the only standout flavor component. The price point on these is quite reasonable and the time commitment is approachable so I would give the T110 Tuxtla another try to see if the profile was the same or improved.

Team Cigar Review: ATL Black Torpedo

Team Cigar Review: ATL Black Torpedo

I was pleasantly impressed with the ATL Black Torpedo. The first and second thirds provided interesting and dynamic flavor combinations that kept me engaged, and the strength levels harmonized well. The last third was still pleasant, but not quite at the same complexity levels as the rest of the cigar. I would happily smoke the Black Torpedo from ATL again.

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Robusto 54

Team Cigar Review: Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Robusto 54

The Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Robusto 54 delivered some tasty and at times slight over medium intense flavor combinations. I don't recall the previous size we reviewed having this much intensity, but it was enjoyable. Typically I don't find the larger ring gauges land in my wheelhouse, but the Robusto 54 Supreme Leaf delivered.

Team Cigar Review: Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Corona Gorda R

Team Cigar Review: Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Corona Gorda R

The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Corona Gorda R offers up some fairly full strength flavors, surprisingly more intense than the Habano, which I was not expecting. I enjoyed the first and second thirds but given the intensity of the flavors, this cigar might be a bit too much for a lot of smokers. I would definitely smoke the Knuckle Sandwich Maduro again.

Team Cigar Review: La Sirena Mexican Mermaid Lancero

Team Cigar Review: La Sirena Mexican Mermaid Lancero

The La Sirena Mexican Mermaid Lancero showcases some of the best things from Mexican San Andres wrapper. No doubt having it as a binder has only amplified the flavor combinations here, and yet nothing seemed overpowering until the earth in the last third.

Team Cigar Review: E.P. Carrillo Short Run Retro 2022 Maduro Short Play

Team Cigar Review: E.P. Carrillo Short Run Retro 2022 Maduro Short Play

The E.P. Carrillo Short Run Retro 2022 Maduro Short Play started out with medium-full flavor combinations of creamy tobacco, spices, pepper, earth and leather. The second third settled into a pleasant but less complex combination of flavors as much of the spice fell away. The last third was mostly wood driven. All in all, it was an enjoyable cigar to smoke, but the second and last thirds didn't have enough complexity to elevate the overall flavor experience to much more than just above average.
